the 1st Motorized Infantry Battalion of the 58th Brigade

The 1st motorized infantry battalion is a military motorized infantry formation of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine numbering a battalion consisting of the 58th separate motorized infantry brigade. The battalion was created in 2014 as a volunteer 13th battalion of the Territorial Defense “Chernihiv-1” from residents of Chernihiv region in response to Russian aggression. In the summer of 2014, the unit fought in the Luhansk region near Stanytsia Luhanska. In November, it was reorganized into the 13th separate motorized infantry battalion. In the winter of 2015, it participated in the battles for Vuhlehirsk and Debaltseve.
