1. Who processes the data
The controller of your personal data is 8th Recruitment Centre of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (hereinafter the Centre), a unit of Ukrainian Land Forces, operating under Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 564 of 16 May 2024, “On Approval of Regulations on Recruitment Centres” (zakon.rada.gov.ua) and has the authority to collect personal data. 2. What data we collect
Only the data provided with unambiguous consent and which you specify yourself in the questionnaire on the site or inform the recruiter:
- name and surname;
- phone number, preferred method of communication (call, messenger) and convenient call time;
- type of service you are interested in (undecided, mobilisation, standard Contract, new Incentive Contract, 18–24 Contract);
- age range and current status (civilian, i Have Combat Experience, currently Absent without Authorisation);
- additional information that you have decided to provide (experience, wishes regarding the region or unit);
- the page of the site from which the application was sent — so that the recruiter knows what exactly interested you.
The technical logs of the Cloudflare server and security network contain the IP address and the time of the request and are stored for no longer than 30 days to protect against abuse.
3. Why and on what basis
- Purpose: contact you, answer questions and accompany you to the service - selection of a position or unit, consultation on documents, VLK and sending.
- Legal basis: your consent, which you provide by ticking the questionnaire (Art. 11 Law of Ukraine “On Personal Data Protection”, No. 2297-VI of 1 June 2010). Consent can be withdrawn at any time by contacting the contacts in section 1.
4. To whom do we transfer
Data from the questionnaire can be seen only by recruiters of the Center. We do not transfer them to third parties, except in cases expressly provided by law. The application form is sent by encrypted connection by e-mail to the Center’s mailbox on the domain 8recruiting.army; the mail service is provided by a Ukrainian hosting provider, whose servers are located in Ukraine. The site does not store copies of applications. External analytics and advertising services are not used.
5. Retention Period
Applications are kept until the completion of the support, but not longer 1 month If you withdraw your consent earlier, the data will be deleted within 10 working days.
6. Your Rights
- know what data is stored about you and get a copy of it;
- request the correction or deletion of data;
- withdraw consent to processing;
- apply to the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights or to the court.
7. Safety and security
The connection to the site is encrypted (HTTPS). Only authorized employees of the Center have access to applications. The server on which the site operates and the mailbox for applications are located in Ukraine at the Ukrainian hosting provider. To protect against attacks, the site works through the Cloudflare, Inc. network: the request passes through its node, which checks it and immediately transmits it to the Center server in a separate encrypted connection; Cloudflare does not store the content of applications.
