Responsibilities
- monitoring the availability, condition and proper use of medical equipment, first aid kits (IFAKs), backpacks for combat medics and medicines throughout the battery
- timely submission of applications for replenishment of consumables
- development (together with the commander and chief of the medical service) of schemes and routes of medical evacuation (CASEVAC/MEDEVAC) from battery positions, identification of collection points for the wounded
- organization and preparation of the wounded for transportation, ensuring the continuity of assistance while waiting for evacuation transport
- organization and conduct of classes in tactical medicine
- constant checking of the readiness of personnel to provide self-help and mutual assistance under stress
- monitoring of personnel health
Requirements
- fitness for military service due to health and moral and psychological qualities
- stress resistance and psychological stability
- Ability to make critical decisions
