Responsibilities
- providing first aid to the wounded on the battlefield
- participation in the evacuation of the wounded and sick
- support of sick servicemen of the unit for treatment
- check whether there is enough medical equipment, and timely replenishment of stocks
- teaching fellows to help themselves and others
Requirements
- fitness for service due to health and moral qualities
- physical endurance: the wounded have to be carried, often with equipment
- psychological resistance to the appearance of severe injuries
- cold-bloodedness and the ability to act clearly when stress is around
