Information Security Service Specialist

Responsibilities

providing comprehensive protection of information, computer and network systems of the unit from unauthorized access and cyberattacks
setting up and monitoring the security of communication channels, data encryption and administration of information security tools
conducting regular security audits of workstations, mobile devices and software used by personnel
development of internal instructions on digital security and training of battalion soldiers in basic rules of cyber hygiene
prompt detection, localization and remediation of cybersecurity incidents or attempts to compromise the network

understanding of the principles of network protocols, encryption systems, operating system architecture and modern security tools (Firewalls, VPNs, antivirus systems)
high responsibility, attention to detail and a clear understanding of the importance of confidentiality of information
readiness for service in the area of performing the tasks of the unit (without going to the contact line)
specialized higher education (cybersecurity, information protection, computer science) or relevant civil experience in system administration or IT-security

mobilization until the end of martial law or contract service
the possibility of transferring active military personnel with the consent of the immediate commander
cash security from 23 000 + additional payments up to 30 000 UAH depending on the conditions of service
material support: issuance of uniforms, shoes and equipment in accordance with the standards of the Armed Forces
medical care: free treatment in military and state medical institutions
annual paid leave of 30 days + additional leave for family or treatment
opportunities for professional development, training, courses, including foreign programs
competent command, clear performance of official duties
support during the passage of RTCC, VLC and during training
permanent residence in the location of the unit
the possibility of service for candidates who, according to the conclusion of the VLC, are suitable for service in military support units, TCC and SP, higher educational institutions, training centers, etc.
